How to Create an Awesome Cornhole Name

With summer coming up, it’s time to create a name for your cornhole team. If you have a problem with puns, then you might want to meditate on that particular hangup.

Let’s talk about the elements of a good team name in cornhole. It comes down to four things to consider. We can think of this as “cornhole philosophy”. Plato would be proud.

4Pillars of Cornhole Team Name Discovery

#1: Gender makeup of your team.

Often played in teams of two people, a team can consist of two men, two women, one of each, trans, etc… Always equal opportunity here at Cornhole Europa, but two men on a team named Cornhub will definitely not get laid that night.

#2: Pun lover or Pun Hater

The timeless classics always include the word “corn” somewhere in the name. It’s a safe choice, can be funny, and certainly appropriate. However, it’s not always necessary in a team name. Isn’t it great when you’re not quite sure what a name means at first, then it clicks in your head and you giggle a little? For some of us puns are awful. It’s all good. You decide.

#3: Warrior or Poet (or both)

Consider literature references vs stocism. Or sneak in some poetry into your teamname. Your teamname can project some personal style.

#4: To be crude or not to be.

Are you an early adopter or do you like to play it safe? Do you have classic style in your wardrobe or are you a little fresh and daring? Thankfully a sport (just kidding) like cornhole allows for some expression. It’s popular in the midwest of the United States, probably to vent some puritanical repression. With a name like cornhole and double entendres galore, feel free to express yourself! Be confident and creative!
